Hotel access & transport

How do I get to the hotel from Geneva Airport?

From Geneva Airport, several options make it easy to reach Le Faucigny in Chamonix:

Shared or private transfer: We work with trusted transportation partners. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Rates start from €55 per person, per journey for a non-refundable shared transfer, and from €320 per journey for a private transfer (up to 8 passengers). Please contact the reception desk to arrange your transfer.

• By car: the hotel is about 1 hour from the airport via the A40 motorway.


• By train: you can travel from Geneva to Chamonix with connections via Saint-Gervais-les-Bains-Le Fayet.


• By bus: regular bus lines also connect Geneva Airport to Chamonix town centre.
Once in the town centre, the hotel is easily reachable on foot or by taxi.

Do you have a car park?

Yes, Le Faucigny has an outdoor car park with 7 spaces located in front of the hotel. Parking is charged at €18 per day per vehicle. As spaces are limited, we recommend booking your spot in advance.

What are the ski areas in Chamonix? How do I get there?

The Chamonix valley offers several ski areas: Brévent-Flégère, Les Grands Montets, Balme, and Les Houches. From Le Faucigny, you can easily reach the ski areas by free shuttle, train, or car.

Is the bus free with the guest card?

No, buses are not free with the guest card. The guest card provided by Le Faucigny gives discounts on the Chamonix Mobilité network, but a valid ticket is still required to travel by bus. However, the guest card does allow free travel on the Mont-Blanc Express train between Servoz and Vallorcine for the duration of your stay.

Do you have a shuttle to the ski areas?

No, Le Faucigny does not have a private shuttle to the ski areas.
However, the ski lifts are easily accessible via the
valley’s buses and trains.

Where can I park for free in Chamonix?

Free parking in the centre of Chamonix is virtually impossible to find, especially during peak season.

Check-in is available from 3:00 PM.

What are the check-out times?

Check-out is until 11:00 AM.

What are the reception hours? How do I get in at night?

Le Faucigny’s reception is open 24/7.
Access to the hotel is possible throughout the night.

Can I do an early check-in, and how much does it cost?

Early check-in may be available at Le Faucigny subject to availability on the day, with a surcharge of between €20 and €50.

It’s cheaper on Booking — should I book directly through that site?

If you find a better rate on another site, we invite you to contact reception directly.

What are the breakfast times?

Breakfast is served from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Le Faucigny.

Do you have gluten-free / vegetarian options at breakfast?

Yes, we offer vegetarian and gluten-free options at breakfast.

Do the rooms have mini fridges / a microwave?

Le Faucigny rooms do not have mini fridges.
A microwave can, however, be made available on request at reception.

What are the spa hours? Do I need to book?

Le Faucigny’s spa is freely accessible from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Private bookings of 45 minutes are also available from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and from 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM, at a rate of €30 (up to 6 people).
For any privatisation request, please contact reception.

Is a swimsuit required in the spa?

Yes, wearing a swimsuit is compulsory in Le Faucigny’s spa.

Is there somewhere to change / shower after skiing when I have already checked out?

The spa shower may be used after check-out upon request, subject to availability. This service is intended for occasional use and is limited to one or two guests at a time.

Do you have a room with a view of Mont Blanc?

Yes, some rooms at Le Faucigny offer a view of Mont Blanc, depending on the category and availability.

Do the rooms have air conditioning?

No, the rooms are not air-conditioned.

Do you have a safe?

No, the rooms at Le Faucigny and the apartments at Le Génépy do not have in-room safes.

Do you have a lift?

No, Le Faucigny does not have a lift.

Do you have adapters?

Yes, adapters are available on request from Le Faucigny’s reception.

Do you have a laundry service at the hotel?

No, Le Faucigny does not offer a laundry service, but several self-service launderettes are available in Chamonix town centre.

Can you store my luggage before / after check-in / check-out?

Yes, Le Faucigny has a luggage storage service available before check-in and after check-out.

Do you have a luggage storage service for several days?

Yes, Le Faucigny can store your luggage for several days on request, subject to availability. Please contact reception to check feasibility.

The weather forecast is bad — can I cancel my reservation free of charge?

The cancellation conditions that apply are those stated at the time of your booking.

Can I pay with vacation vouchers (chèques vacances)?

Yes, Le Faucigny accepts vacation vouchers (chèques vacances).

Activities & surroundings

What hikes can I do from the hotel?

Many hikes are accessible from Le Faucigny or a few minutes away by bus/train: Lac Blanc, Brévent, Mer de Glace, Petit Balcon Nord/Sud, and the Gaillands trail. Reception will be happy to advise you based on your level and current conditions.

What can I do in Chamonix when I’m not skiing?

Even without skiing, Chamonix has plenty to offer: mountain walks, spa, shopping, cafés and restaurants, Aiguille du Midi, Montenvers – Mer de Glace, snowshoeing, dog sledding, museums…

Do you have discounts for QC Terme?

Yes, Le Faucigny guests benefit from discounts at QC Terme Chamonix. Ask at reception for details.

How do I get to the Aiguille du Midi?

The Aiguille du Midi is accessible by cable car from Chamonix town centre, approximately 10 minutes’ walk from Le Faucigny. We recommend booking your tickets in advance, especially during peak season.

Should I dress warmly for the Aiguille du Midi in summer?

Yes, even in summer, temperatures can be below zero at the Aiguille du Midi. We recommend bringing warm clothing, a windproof jacket, and sturdy footwear.

What can I do when it rains?

Even in bad weather, Chamonix has plenty of activities: spa, museums, shopping, cafés and restaurants, sports centre, indoor climbing, or the Mont-Blanc Express train for a different way to discover the valley.
