A ‘home away from home’ in the mountains, stylish and welcoming, like a big family chalet …
Experience the mountains all year round – in summer and in winter. Chalet Whymper unites shopping fans and mountain aficionados. Ideally located in the town centre, a stone’s throw from shops and restaurants and only a few hundred metres from the main transport links to access the various ski areas and hiking trails in the valley, this chalet is the ideal base camp for an unforgettable stay.
The chalet is named after Edward Whymper, a famous 19th century British mountaineer and illustrator. He’s mainly known for the first ascent of the Matterhorn and for having contributed to the development of mountaineering in the Chamonix valley. Come and read the story of his exploits from the comfort of the living room.
